In 2019 I moved to Switzerland, 7 months later Covid started.
In 2025 I moved to Dubai and 7 months later the conflict.

It’s been a wild few years since I’ve left Ireland but after staying in Switzerland throughout the pandemic and having the most AMAZING 6 years, it has shown me the power and beauty in a country, and though times are uncertain here in the UAE, I feel safe and excited to continue to explore this beautiful place ❤️

Canton 25/26, Zug 🇨🇭

Discover the charm of Zug!
Wander through the colourful old town, climb the Zytturm for panoramic views or simply just stroll along Lake Zug. In summer it has some of the most beautiful lake swimming spots and outdoor Badis. It’s only 20–30 minute train from Zurich, making it an ideal day trip! 🚞

For a little adventure, head up Zugerberg for hiking and mountain views, or explore the fairytale-like Höllgrotten caves!

Fun fact 💡
Zug is famous for its cherry products, especially the iconic Zuger Kirschtorte, made with local kirsch (cherry brandy)! 🍒

Inside Montreux’s Casino Barrière lies the legendary Mountain Studios, the iconic recording space once owned by Queen!!

This is where the band created and refined some of their most unforgettable music, with Freddie Mercury recording powerful vocals 🎶

Today, the studio is preserved as a museum-like space, allowing visitors to step into the original control room, see authentic equipment, and stand in the exact place where musical history was made. It is FREE to visit too!

📍 It’s located inside the Casino Barrière de Montreux on the lakeside.

Did you know Charlie Chaplin’s real home still exists in Switzerland? 🇨🇭

He spent the last 25 years of his life at Manoir de Ban in Corsier-sur-Vevey, overlooking Lake Geneva and the Alps 🏔️

Welcome to Stoos, a car-free village surrounded by dramatic peaks, it’s best known for the world’s steepest funicular… the Stoosbahn, which climbs at a mind-blowing 110% gradient! 🚡

Once you’re in Stoos, you can hike or take the cable car up to Fronalpstock or Klingenstock, where the views over Lake Lucerne are amazing!! If you are brave enough, and heights are not a fear you can also hike the scenic ridge walk.

🚞 Take a direct train from Zurich to Schwyz, then a short bus to the base station and ride the Stoosbahn up to Stoos!
It’s fully covered with the GA pass! You just need a separate ticket if you go to Fronalpstock or Klingenstock.

Rhine Falls is LOUD, powerful, and way bigger in real life than you expect. You can literally feel the mist on your face the second you get close! There are a variety of different viewing platforms, walk ways and levels. You can also take a boat to the middle of the falls!

🚞From Zurich there is a direct train to Neuhausen am Rheinfall, it takes approx. 50 minutes, then just a short walk to the falls!
